One World
Born in 1999 in Czech Republic on the initiative of the organization Člověk v tísni (People in Need) the festival Jeden svet is now one of the most important European festivals dealing with human rights. Since 2000 the Slovak festival was organized by the NGO “Človek v ohrození” as a largely independent event, autonomous in programming, fundraising, production and PR. It takes place every year not only in Bratislava, but also in other Slovak towns. The festival usually takes place in Stanica at the end of January.

Literature Night
The Literature Night has its roots in the Czech Republic, spreading throughout Europe across a Network of Czech Centres. Emerging from the idea, that literature is a unique medium that keeps up the dialogue between the individual voices and the values of the community they live in. It supports the mutual understanding and cultural exchange and helps to get rid of communication barriers. To present literature in a variety of attractive styles, this project include an afternoon walk in may, where the audience visits 10 different places in Zilina to listen to actors, but also other well-known personalities reading in repeated 15 minutes passages from selected books.

townZILINAgarden
Workshop involving students of architecture, focusing on observation of the public space in our town, Zilina to create solutions to several architectural problems. It is an open laboratory for university students studying related fields and professionals, particularly designers and architects.

Fest Anča – international animation festival
Appearing at Stanica every summer with a variety of animated movies - shorts and feature-length, video clips and children movies - it is an unique opportunity to find out what`s happening in the world of animated pictures. In two contests they can compete for the Anča Award or the Anča Music Video Award for animated video clips. During the Animation Karaoke Battle the visitors can also show their syncronization talents. Different workshops offer the opportunity to develop individual projects. At the end of an eventful day, you can get rid of any remaining energy dancing at the concert or have a rest in your tent set up in the Park under the Rondel.

KioSK
Initiated by the Theatre Institute, this project has grown over the last few years under the roof of Stanica, into an exciting festival dedicated to alternative Slovak theatre and the adventurous audience. Every year in July we present a selection of current productions from the independent Slovak theatre and dance scene, that also includes the projects of Slovak artists abroad.

Summer Children Symposium
Two times during the summer holidays children cooperate with professional artists and students in artistic fields to produce in their own work. Focusing on projects that span the visual arts, but also those expanding into other genres (theatre, film, multimédia) the aim of these symposiums is to cultivate the capability of expression and the development of cooperation.

Kinobus (not only) film festival
Every year sometimes in the beginning, sometimes in the end of summer kinobus drives its passengers into the province to show them old, sometimes forgotten and closed, sometimes still working movie theatres and reawaken them, screening selected movies according to the selected theme, which also determines the overall character of the event. Including theatre performances, concerts, installations, audio drama and the exploration of the locations visited and their particularities, this project is an experiment with the possibilities of movie screenings, but also the examination of the potential of arts and its relation to the local community.

The first week in October is the time of the Literature festival Zilina.
